I used TurboTax today and saw that I will owe about $6,000 (state and fed combined). I did not file yet because I plan on going to a tax professional to make sure that is correct. In 2017 I started a second part time job and didn’t know at the time that I should’ve claimed 0 on my W4. Stupid. Anyway...aside from an adjustment to my W4’s (for both jobs?), what else can I do to make sure I don’t owe money next year? I am one that would rather not get a refund either—I like the proper amount to come out each check.
