117 year old house. Just busted open the knee wall to allow access to do electrical but instead found a giant wasp nest that will have to be removed first. I need to create some sort of walkway/crawlway/catwalk? to not only get that sucker out, but to allow contractors to do the electrical and future insulation. Do I just lay down plywood? Should I attach wood to the beams with screws? I am new to joists and gussets and all the proper lingo for building, so I am struggling with the DIY instructions in most articles.
