I'd like to wind my own pickups and transformers, and as I have an Arduino around I'd like to try to make one myself. I suppose I'd need an electric motor for the bobbin, a motorised wire guide and a rev counter, a way to set tension plus a display (got one) and a keyboard (not a problem). I'd like to specify coil turns and coil thickness, in order to set the motion of the guide to avoid single turns overlapping and optimise winding.
