Ask yourself if you really print that much in a year (at home). If you find that you don't, consider getting rid of your home printer. The yearly cost for ink alone isn't worth the convenience. Especially if it comes with an expiration date.

I've been printer free for more than 2 years now. When I need to print I go to FedEx-kinkos (or similar shop) with a USB stick with my docs on it . It usually costs me less than a half a dollar to print 5 pages black and white.

Other times I've utilized electronic editors to fill out and then send my documents via the internet. Which is much easier than printing, signing, then scanning and sending.

It's as if we've all been convinced we need to have personal printers to go with our personal computers. At this stage in our technical world. I don't agree.
