We're laying 3/8 engineered flooring with a thicker underlayment and have a stair nose of the same thickness on the narrow end, sold as a kit. We were told to use adhesive to glue the stair nose down, but it's uneven with the thickness of the underlayment, as shown here:http://ift.tt/2Gyfe9Q I need to shim it or should it be on the underlayment?
