Perhaps this isn't the case in other countries but here every toothpaste brand has a million variations. One for whitening, one for fresh breath, one for "deep cleaning" and so on. Its as if there's no single solution that just does what it has to for your damn teeth.
Then there's the problem of toothbrushes. What differentiates a standard $2 brush with a tongue cleaner and grip to the $40 brush? Especially considering that you're supposed to change brushes quite frequently what with shit particles flying onto it and all that fun stuff. Its not like you'll need to buy a new brush any less often if you buy an expensive one like you would with shirts.
Then there's all the other dental care products. Some sites say mouthwash is horrible for you and causes more damage than good, others say its an essential part of your routine. Is there a noticeable difference in quality between normal floss and the more expensive versions? Are dental picks, whitening paste, etc all necessary?
I just want clean teeth smh.
