We are currently having a real problem with our cats doing the business on our carpeted stairs. The carpet is ruined now and we are looking to remove and are thinking we don't want to rebook carpet.o If we were to convert the stairs to wooden stairs would it be as simple as sanding down and painting the stairs underneath the carpet or is it far more complicated than that?
