I moved some savings money to a bond fund in January, and the fund has tanked since. -1.5% in a single month.
But... when you look at the fund's yield, it has stayed right on 3% for almost it's entire history.
If I am still getting 3%, do I really care about NAV?
This is long term savings money, just trying to get more than 1.5% offered by online savings.
As long as I don't sell while NAV is low, the 3% is still attractive to me.
Just making sure I am not missing anything.
Will a continual drop in NAV mean yield or distributions will drop as well?
Thank you!
