anyone here curious about transcendental meditation, but is very leery of/held back by the price? this video was very interesting and i thought i'd share it.
scroll back to the beginning (it starts in the 20s minutewise, i don't know how to change that) and listen at double time if you want to hear his story and how tm works.
i am posting here in case there is anyone like me who was curious about transcendental meditation but wouldn't bite the bullet bc the price makes it seem like somewhat of a scam.
i had read it was a scam (very high prices, you have to sign an NDA, the mantra you are told is never to be repeated, and this is because supposedly they would give the same mantras to large swaths of people and they didn't want people to figure that out). the mantra mentioned in this video (if you scroll back to the beginning), means "wealth." still, i was always curious and even considered one day dropping the money. the video helped get rid of that desire.
basically TM does seem like a basic mantra meditation. this post was also fun to read.
of course i have to do more research but was so glad to find this video. saving me a few k.
