Ok I'm currently in a self directed account in my 401k looking for a medium/high risk investments in the market. Just a little backstory I'm 28yrs old making average of 86k a year and my current contributions are sitting at 14% not the best but affordable at this time. Problem I'm seeing is my employer matches 6% on the half dollar so 3% which isn't the greatest match but I still have time on my side to still place higher risk investments to make up for lack of a match over the years.I know compounded over time will help my nest egg but hopefully the rewards are worth the risk. Now I'm currently invested in a few different index funds and a couple high dividend large cap stocks for long term but would like to take some riskier investments to hopefully get some faster gains. What you recommend? Small cap etfs? Higher risk bonds? Individual smaller stocks (SDA will not allow OTC trades)? Any ideas will be appreciated.
