I've installed some sliding barn door track in my pantry. Rather than barn doors or doors of any kind though, I'm going to mount a shelf for storing non-perishables and other pantry goods. My original intent was to build a (inexpensive, common whitewood) wooden shelf, but my shelf dimensions are ideally about 6ft tall, 3ft wide, an 7in deep. A wooden shelf of this size I'm afraid will start getting too heavy.I've also considered using some aluminum angle for the 4 vertical corners, and wood for the shelves. But that aluminum angle will probably need cross members to prevent flexing, etc. and I'm not sure that industrial appearance would be gf approved.Any other material suggestions? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rxI3ji
