Hi guys I have a subfloor dilemma. I pulled up my living room carpet to reveal the bare subfloor. My plan was to throw in some screws to quell some squeaks and put on laminate flooring. Eventually we want to continue the laminate floor into the connecting kitchen and entry way.Now that I can see the edge of the other two floors I see that there are two layers of linoleum and two 1/4in plywood layers under the top kitchen floor top layer (.7in underlayments) and linoleum and plywood (.33in) under the entry top floor.Should put the laminate floor on the bare 3/4in subfloor and plan to rip out all the other underlayment and ten million staples when we redo the other floors or should I add another layer to make up some of the difference on the bare subfloor first? Is there any problem with adding an additional thickness to the subfloor? Is there a best practice? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2DS3VuU
