So I was definitely underpaid as a supervisor, only a few dollars more than assemblers. It was unneeded stress for the extra $50 a week, so I asked to be demoted. He asked me to give him a couple days to come up with a plan. The HR lady told me he is going to ask me to keep my position with a substantial raise. I’m not against it, but should I take it? The job stresses me out, but it’s not overwhelmingly stressful. Should I accept the raise or just demote myself. I think I’d be happy doing assembly again. But then again, if he gives me more than $2 raise, I’m thinking I should stay. Would thy expect me to work harder? I just don’t want to get stuck doing more work and hating my position even more.
