Recently came across safety razors (check out on ebay). Some serious savings can be done.
Lets say you shave once a week.
Lets also say it's $30 for a pack of 4 razors (Gillette). And lets say you can get 3 shaves per razor. That equates to $2.50 per shave.
On ebay, I can purchase a safety razor and 100 blades for $30. Now I can get about 2 shaves per blade (occasionally 3 - but lets stick with 2 for now). This mean I get 0.15 cents per shave (including the cost of purchasing the initial safety razor)
Now if I can do maths properly. This tells me that after 100 shaves - the Gillette replacement razors would have cost me $250. With the safety razor option - 100 shaves would have cost me $15.
