I'm looking to put a temp yet long-ish fix on my neighbors door. (he's broke and I don't have a lot of time) Based on the photos given, could I not just cut out the already mended piece of wood and start over with a more solid block. Glue/opoxy/screw the new block in and once dried notch out what I need to and put longer screws in? Any advice would be appreciated!
