I had a slow leak coming from a hose bib. I left the hose on during a freeze and the bib got damaged and was leaking where the copper pipe meets the cast iron part of the big. Inside the wall.I installed the bib a couple years ago to replace one with a broken handle. For a quick fix, I was going to just put the old one back on until I had time to go buy a new hose bib. Unfortunately, when I tried to take off the new, damaged, hose bib, it came apart and I was left with a six inch copper pipe flush with the wall that I needed to remove.I tried to remove it using a pipe wrench and a pair of channel locks and just ended up mangling the tip of the copper pipe. The pipe is between two studs, so there's not really room to get a grip on the middle of the pipe to make a good turn. I feel like some sort of tool that would insert into the pipe and expand allowing for good even torque would help. Does anyone have any advice for me?Edit: Pictures link via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2CYYHtC
