So in July 2017, I quit my job and moved to go back to college. At that time, I updated my address with my employer so they could mail my last paycheck (which I did receive). Today, since I haven't received my W-2, I emailed my old supervisor to confirm my new address and their intent to mail it to me. Their response is that they emailed all employees in the fall that address changes were due by Dec 1 (of course, I didn't get the email because I'm not an employee, and they should've had my new address anyway).
So now they're saying it's too late, and that I just have to hope that my W-2 makes its way back to them through the postal service. Which isn't going to happen-- it's been more than a month . They're refusing to send a new one. What can I do from here? I can't just say "oh well" and not file my taxes.
Thanks in advance for the help!
Edit: Some of you pointed out it was probably sent recently. I had "Dec 1" in my head and wasn't thinking clearly.
