Long story short, my gf got a grant opportunity in Texas, and we are moving from San Diego to Austin.

I am currently employed by a product company in San Diego and they have agreed to let me work remotely (the dream!) in Austin.

Texas has no income tax. Will I be able to take advantage of that if I live there but my employer is based in San Diego? Do I have to prove residency? What kind of paperwork does my employer need to fill out so that I can receive the benefits of no income tax in Texas?

Thanks!
