I apologize in advance, I'll be cross posting this!
The title says it all. I live in NY, and I'm freaking freezing. Guys, it's so cold... I don't remember winters being this brutal, climate change is real.
I bought a jacket (parka) thinking it'll suffice for the winter. But no, the parka lets the cold air in and I end up shivering and freezing. I have to layer up in order to not get chilly and I'm still cold because of the chilling winds. I know the season for coat buying has passed, but there are still some sales going on so I'm hoping some of you can help me with some warm brands? Or styles? I want something to cover my butt, because its so cold.
I've looked through the sub, and unfortunately, I don't have 200+$ to spend at the moment. I'm planning (hopefully) to move down south by next winter, and I feel bad committing 200$ for a jacket. I'm a fool for not prepping better. I'll appreciate all the help irregardless.

Edit: it's 8F right now but with the piercing wind it feels like -20F.
