This just happenee to me. I got a few quotes for the removal and they ranged from $1,000 to $2,200. And that didn’t include stump removal which can be another $500. I was trying to convince myself that I could do it on my own, but then I saw how close it was to some power lines. That’s when a coworker suggested calling my power company’s vegetation management team.

I called them up, they came out to survey, a month or three later the crew came out and murdered the tree. They left the lumber and the stump, but that’ll just be a weekend of work once Spring rolls around... spring will come back right?
