My brother along with his wife and I are looking to invest together in a some real-estate in another country (Ireland) while we live in the US.
We plan to then rent out this property while managing it abroad, or possibly have someone from the family in Ireland manage it. I plan to invest 50% while they will contribute the other combined 50%.
I am hoping to hear from anyone who has experience with something like this. Is there a strategy or investment vehicle that best suites this situation?
I assume there are simple and complex ways of doing this. Could someone explain this in depth for me? Should we start an LLP, Real Estate Private Equity company, Real Estate Investment Trust, etc. Not sure where to start.
