I met a guy today who raised over 100 million for his real estate company he went to an Ivy League school i won't share his name for privacy reasons because he hates the spotlight. I directly asked him how he made all his money he told me it was from investing in distressed bonds. I didn't wanna bother the guy so I didn't ask too many questions. He explained it's when you invest into a company going bankrupt but as a creditor. That way when they liquidate and repay the creditors you get paid first instead of being the stock holder who gets left with nothing. How would someone buy or trade distressed bonds are there any ways I can research different distressed bonds I can buy into are they on the stock market?
