Hi r/DIY, please forgive the bad title, it is the best way I can articulate my issue without using images.I am working on a project where I am creating my own Japanese Armour (Yoroi). The plastic lames are connected with 10mm cotton lace. To hold the ends of the lace in place, I used some good sellotape to make sure the ends don't get pulled through the holes but this isn't a long term solution.I don't know a good way to secure lace (and fabrics) to the plastic, I've tried a hot glue gun but this is very messy and doesn't seem to take on the plastic. Here are some pictures which will explain my issues.http://ift.tt/2Dq2GTk let me know if you have advice/tips on making sure these are secured correctly.Side comment: If this is the wrong subreddit, apologise I'm not sure where to post. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ESB7iz
