Hi DIYers! Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I am a new homeowner and this is my first real project.I removed our old tile backsplash, which came off very easily, and am trying to figure out the best way to prep the wall for a new stone backsplash. The drywall seems to be in good shape but there is some plaster (?) over it still. See pics in the linked album.http://ift.tt/2mX59Lt what I've read I am thinking of applying oil based primer (kilz) to seal the exposed paper, applying a skim coat of 20 minute mud, sanding the surface, priming again, and then tiling the wall. How would you suggest preparing the wall for a new backsplash? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rqeIY0
