I recently purchased a GE dryer (Model # GTDS560EF4WS) on craigslist. The dryer came with a modern 4-prong plug, but the laundry room in my home, build in the 70s, uses a 3-prong outlet. I bought a new 3-prong pigtail but have come to learn that to make the swap I will need to ground the new plug though the neutral terminal with a grounding strap. The current terminal does not have a grounding strap as the 4-prong pigtail had its own dedicated ground. My question is this: Do I need to replace the whole terminal with GE part # WE4M325 or can I add a grounding strap (such as GE # WB02T10067) to the terminal I already have? Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2Ay6axH
