Lately I’ve been trolling the fabric remnant section at Joann Fabrics and similar stores. Often times they are very cheap, and will have an additional percentage off, as well as are eligible for coupons. I know they’re comparable to thrift store prices, but it’s a good alternative if you’re weirded out by used clothing or are looking for a specific pattern or color scheme. I got this amazingly soft, oversized scarf/ wrap for a little less than three dollars. Just pay attention to the dimensions listed to make sure it’s the size you want. Obviously you could throw a hem on your fabric for a more polished look, but depending on the fabric a raw edge is often not noticeable.
