Hello Reddit DIY, I need some help here and I'll try to provide as much detail as possible:I'm in the UK.I have a tall standing fridge which gives a nasty electric shock when its frame is handled at the same time as another metallic object nearby, such as the glasswasher - which is also plugged into the same circuit - or the water pipe running underneath it.Connecting my meter to, for instance, the fridge frame and the glasswasher door (metal) produces a reading of just under 200 volts. If I turn the fridge off and do this, that voltage slowly drops.Checking the top of the fridge, where the controller is housed, reveals two earth wires connected to the frame by a screw. The fridge has a two prong power cable which connects to a three prong socket by a small adaptor.I've checked the socket and it is grounded.Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated - cheers! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2lHZwQ3
