I don't know very much about my 401K, and it's all very confusing. I just received my account statement and decided to really look at it and try to figure out what it means. At my previous job I was investing 8% with plans to invest +1%/year, so I should be at 10% now. I rolled over my 401K when I began this job in 2016. They had some kind of rule about investing, that you had to be there a year. That has come and gone, i'll be there two years in May. It says that I have $0 in contributions. I don't understand! It was supposed to automatically begin, no one said anything about it. What can I do? Am I missing something? That is a whole year that i'm missing out on. $100 every two weeks, approximately. Is there anyone that can look at this and tell me what it means? I'd like to retire someday.
