My story - Last year I donated pretty much everything I owned, pretty much the whole closet, most of my kitchen appliances etc.
I have continued the trend of downsizing, and a year later, here I am.
I donated or threw out all of my old things in my parents house and downsized my high school/college memories into one small box.
My kitchen items - - 1 pot, 1 pan, 1 baking tray, 1 nice chef knife, 1 set of utensils and eating dishes. - I thought i wouldn't be able to cook nice things with out appliances, but it turns out I was looking at it wrong. Appliances are just there to make our lives easier, but in having so many of them, they make our lives cluttered. I last week donated my coffee maker as now I just make coffee using the pot and a french press. Tastes better to me and theres something about actually making the coffee that is mindful. It probably takes an extra five minutes but that doesn't bother me. - Things I have cooked in the last week with my minimal setup - Garlic chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, nachos, basically anything I want. I just have to clean the dishes ASAP after eating so I can re use them instantly. Stirfry is easy too.
Things I like - I feel like the more I donate, the more free I feel. I can pack my bags into my car and leave if I want to.
My clothes are nice too. Everyone always compliments me on them because I emphasize quality over quantity. If only they knew I was just making combinations out of the same 10 pieces lol.
Things I kept - I like my electronics but lately I have also been hating wires so I switched everything over to bluetooth technology. I have one Dell gaming laptop and one macbook. Getting rid of wires is also nice as it lets you have more space, lets the place feel cleaner without trying.
As always, I won't respond to anyone who outright attacks me. This is my personal improvement and I like it. Thanks.
