Hi all. Can anyone post some good beginner-to-intermediate links explaining and discussing speculation versus investment?
The motivation for this is my friends are strongly recommending I buy into cryptocurrency. The only previous investment experience I have is making automatic contributions to my Roth IRA. In that, my money is entirely in an S&P tracking index fund.1 So I'm treading cautiously with cryptocurrency. One recurring theme I keep seeing during my research is 'speculation versus investment,' so I think it would be prudent to read up on this, see how it applies to my case, and make a decision accordingly.
