I want to buy two pans once and forever (or at least last me half a decades). I'm not a fan of cast iron due to heating time and weight. Though they are attractive since they're quite durable (I can't trust myself not to forget to never soap them).

At this point due to my rough usage with cooking with metal tongs, I'm going through two nonstick fry pans (large and small) a year (not frugal, even if they're on sale).

Any ideas would be great. I've looked at ceramics I'm afraid of dropping them.
