I have an app I'm really enjoying recently called 72 Season Nara that I think others on here may also enjoy. It's not an app in the traditional sense, as it doesn't really do anything - it's more like a calendar, or a small book on your phone. It's about a system of 72 mini seasons used historically in some parts of Japan.
Each season only lasts about 5 days, and the app describes the little changes in weather and the natural world in each, along with a seasonal haiku, and seasonal fish, vegetables, and activities.
What's delightful (to me) is that you can only view the current season. You can't idly read ahead, and once the season is over, it's gone for the year. It's a nice way of connecting with the present, and with nature, if you live a life that's busy and modern.
I will say that it's probably most appropriate for people in places where the seasons track at least loosely with Japan, but I live in the US southwest, which is pretty seasonally removed, and I enjoy it anyway. The app seems to be made by a Tourism board in Nara, an ancient Japanese capital city. It tends to crash, but since it's essentially just a little book, it relaunches without issue or interruption.
