Hello all. I’m quite new to investing so this may not be the place for this but I just want to share a longterm investment idea. It may be dumb but I was reading a thread recently and I came across some info that could make agave prices skyrocket in the next 10-20 years. Agave is mainly used for tequila and recently the major producers have started to genetically clone agave plants so because of that the genetic diversity goes down, which could lead to disease and viruses in the plants bc they don’t adapt to fight off new threats. Because of this I’m guessing the supply will go down, slowly but surely. So my question is wondering the risk vs reward in putting some money into major tequila companies. Would you say this idea has credence? Thanks!
