35 years old, single, female, Denver, CO
I currently make 65K/year and I'm struggling to stay afloat financially. I currently bring in $3732/month but my monthly expenses are greater than what I make.
Current monthly expenses:
- Rent - $1480
- Student loans _ $507
- Starting in the spring, my student loans will go up from $507 to $950 (total student loan debt $485,886)
- Health insurance - $370
- Food - $300
- Car insurance - $120
- Credit card - $119 (total on card - $4474 - )
- Phone - $60
- Cable/internet - $94
- Dental/disability/renters insurance - $129
- Netflix/Hulu/Spotify - $29
- Gym - $20
- Gas - $100
So my student loans are about $450K total. I also have $4500 on my credit card. My monthly expenses are $4278 and my monthly income is $3732.
What can I do to stay afloat? I am drowning financially and am in desperate need of help. Thank you for your time and insight.
