Hi guys, I'm Alyssa. I suffer from a condition that causes me to black out frequently, meaning i'm not allowed to drive, operate machinery, cook using the stove by myself. I also struggle with chronic pain from the same condition, leaving me struggling to walk. Long story short, I was found not to be safe in a working environment of any sort.

Usually, this decision comes with financial help from the government, but as I live with a partner who works full time, they have stated I MUST live on his income alone.

(around 1100 a month after taxes) I'll break down expenses for you all.

525 in rent.

100 in electricity (we have an apartment that as a safety feature doesn't have gas.)

60 Internet/TV

60 for Insurance (Motorbike-his)

110 Council Tax

60 repayment of a loan from his gran who's helped us massively.

Then there is food, transport if I need to go out.

I'm baffled at how we'll make this work. At minimum, my partner wants me to be able to pay my half of our rent, which I deem fair as WE AREN'T MARRIED, therefore legally he has no requirement to take care of me and could have cast me out if this was his prerogative.

I need to find 272.50 minimal, each month.

Any ideas? Any planning/advice?

Merry Christmas, all.
