So I'll make this question as simple as possible with some basic details.
-Fiancé and I are looking to relocate to Georgia from Virginia
-I am working currently (fiancé is not but will be pursuing work in Georgia)
-Currently living rent-free with family, so I wouldn't have to worry about "affording two rents" if I secured a new place
-I have great credit score and ~20k savings on hand (makes me even think maybe I should look into buying instead). My job makes plenty of money for the 3x threshold require by most apartments.
Is it possible for us to rent an apartment in Georgia while I'll remain working in Virginia, and have boyfriend occupy new place as we both look for work in Georgia?
This would allow him to look for work there already as I keep a steady income flow until I get a job myself there. Looking for a job out of state has been very difficult and once I get a job it seems there is often a several month wait for getting an apartment at most complexes. I am afraid this situation would be too complicated for most apartment complexes to want to deal with and me having a job out of state would be a red flag in getting approved. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
