I'll be going for walks in 20 degree weather with (often) 20mph wind for about 4 months a year, and then just chilly conditions two other months.
Got $130-$175 max range for a jacket and a sweatshirt before tax. No, this budget can't change and yes I need to make the best purchase I can right now as this New England winter begins ... today! #seasonaldepressionxd

I remember growing up and sweatshirts below $30 were always just...trash to me. Sleeves too long, fall apart, bad fit, not warm. But maybe it was an ignorant bias.
So yea, need suggestions if you're kind enough to offer one :-) Doesn't have to be exact products, can be ideas, stores... in fact, brands are probably a good bet, I think.
As for style, irdc, as long as it's not too puffy.
