I am hoping you guys may be able to give me a little help with a writing prompt game I’m making for my best friend for Christmas. This is how it works: there are three boxes. One for “character traits” one for “scene setting” and one for “conflicts”. You roll a die and it determines how many characters your story will have. Then you roll again for how many traits each of the characters will have. Then you select a setting and a conflict and you have to write a scene incorporating all the elements you are given.What I’m looking for are suggestions for the categories.Characters: I already have all the random basic character traits I need (I.e. apathetic, entitled, OCD, etc.) what I could really use are some suggestions that will force the author to get creative. Examples: “really has to use the bathroom” Or “is planning to murder one of the other characters” or “hasn’t showered in about a week”Settings: give me a time and/or a place. Be as specific or as vague as you would like Examples: “the Oval Office In 1999” or “too far from a hospital”Conflict: an obstacle the group needs to overcome to resolve the story Example: “Not enough paper clips” or “Jackie Chan is a serial killer”The outside of the boxes are going to be “once upon a time” themed, but the suggestions don’t have to be. Nothing is off limits. Be as creative, as crude, as crazy as you want :)If anybody is interested to see the finished boxes as well I’ll post pics when I’m done with them.
