Morning DIYersSo at the moment we have a washing machine set up to the left of our sink. My wife has just been and bought a dishwasher to sit next to the washing machine, but has neglected to think about how we're going to get it connected up. I have a couple of questions that the retailer has not been able to help with. Here is a picture she sent me of the space under our sink currently: http://ift.tt/2DuW0zT far as I can tell, the grey pipes on the left are the water intake and waste pipes for the washing machine. It looks like we have a hot water point available along the back wall which could supply the water to the new dishwasher, but the manual we have does not specify whether we should be using hot or cold water for the inlet. If we can go with the hot it looks pretty simple, but if we need to go with the cold would it be easiest to attach a T junction end with a second nozzle? Could this provide enough water for both machines together? My second question is, what would be the best way of handling the new waste water pipe? Should I use something like this or could it lead to blockages if we are using both appliances together? http://ift.tt/2CmEuyi have never carried out any plumbing but I am happy to have a go if I can suss this out. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2DuW1DX
