I have terrible credit. I am actively working on rebuilding with secured credit, disputing items on my report, etc. but it's a slow process.
I have no savings. Again, I'm actively working on saving money with every check, but I'm starting from $0
I make 45k a year. The last decade has been me ravaged by student loans and making terrible financial decisions.
My current vehicle is absolutely falling apart. It's borderline terrifying to drive on interstates (which is the only option around here). I feel that any money put into the current vehicle is just burning it or flushing it down the toilet.
What should be my strategy for purchasing a reasonable used truck in the near future that will last through me rebuilding? How can I do this without taking two steps back from the steps forward I've been making?
