What's the best way to prepare for an upcoming recession? I have a mortgage, I have a paid off rental property, I have a couple different 401k accounts, and a small assortment of stocks. One of my 401ks is a rollover that I have with a brokerage. One thing that I thought might be doable is to sell all the stocks in my rollover 401k and leave it as a cash balance, and reinvest once the market turns around.
Any thoughts?
