A few months ago, I went to physical therapy and halfway through my 8 week stay, the clinic was bought by a different company who more than doubled the cost of my treatment (after explicitly telling me that wouldn't happen). I found out after my 8 weeks was up and after some back and forth, we agreed on a lesser amount somewhere in the difference and signed a document waiving the remaining balance. Naturally I didn't get a copy. Now, over 2 months later, I get a bill from them requesting the remaining balance. I'm gonna give them a call when I can, but I simply refuse to pay this bill.

My credit: 700. It was higher, but I took out some loans to buy furniture. I anticipate it'll rebound to 750, ignoring this medical bill. The furniture loans are the only loans I have. I'm debt free in all other ways. I may buy a new car in a few years, but I'll be able to afford cash down by then. The only way I foresee a credit ding affecting me is in finding a new apartment.

tl;dr Shady billing practices from a medical group. I refuse to bend over and take it, but sticking it to them may hurt a credit score I don't use. What can I expect?
