I get 5% back on Amazon purchases (as a Prime member - non-members get 3%), 2% on gas/restaurants/drugstores, 1% everything else. The reward is in points which you can use on Amazon - but then you don't get the 5% or 3% on those purchases!
Instead, redeem the points as a credit to the card account. I just redeemed $170 as a credit, thereby saving $8.50
