We had a storm in the fall that ruined a gfci receptacle. Unsurprisingly, a few other outlets stopped working. I finally got around to replacing the bad receptacle yesterday with no difficulty. The problem is this: not all of the dead receptacles are now working, so I checked the breaker box. There's one breaker with a "test" button on it, and it's labeled with the outlets that still don't work: bathrooms and outdoor receptacles, which makes sense. This is a GFCI or AFCI breaker, correct? The button on the breaker will not press in, and the switch is in the middle position. When the switch is pushed to the on or off positions it springs back to the middle.Do I need to replace the breaker? I have a contact/no contact tester, so aside from turning off the main breaker what else should I be careful about? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2AzS4R5
