This may sound odd, but my fiancée proposed to me about six months ago and although we both agreed to a long engagement (so we have as much time as we want to save and plan), I was wondering if there was anyone out there with any frugal spending tips when it comes to planning a wedding.
We both already agreed we would rather have a small wedding and an expensive honeymoon. However, I still want a special day without the HUGE cost or debt hanging over my head.
I’m stressing because not only did I really never expect to get married and have zero ideas on how to plan a wedding (and neither does my fiancée), I am pretty young, still in college and even planning a small wedding with close friends and family seems more stressful than fun when we are living paycheck to paycheck.
Has anyone else been in my shoes and have some light to shed on how to have a special day under 5,000$? Thank you so much in advance!!!
