I recently had a small fire in the room where my PC was. It didn't burn but smut got everywhere. Insurance covered it so everything is fine.
With the insurance money I want to buy myself something different.
I built my original PC for gaming but I've grown bored if games.
Mainly I want a computer that I don't have to worry about. Always keeps up with the latest software and operating systems and has long term support.
I was thinking a mac mini since my grandmother still uses her 12 year old mac but i dont know if she can do anything more than write docs and check mail.
Should i build a new pc or get that mac mini?
Even if apple drops os support for one of their machines is the hardware still good enough that i could install linux or the latest version of windows?
