Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone who was under the impression that Columbia's warranty on outerwear is similar in Europe as it is in the states. This is unfortunately not the case!
I was just told by one if their staff that, as my jacket is over 2 years old, they will not offer any replacement, repair, compensation etc for my broken Interchange jacket.
Pretty disappointing. I feel like Columbia's good reputation in the US is used to misleadingly sell inferior products to customers over here in Europe.
Oh well, I'll never buy from Columbia again. Time to switch to Patagonia, I guess. Ive heard that Berghaus clothing is also guaranteed for life but I need to look into this.
Anyone have similar experiences?
Any recommendations for UK clothing companies which could be considered BIFL?
