I'm almost ready to re-floor my entire house, but the front entryway has some stubborn thinset that won't come completely up. I have partially been able to grind it down, but not completely. It seems like it could take a couple days of hard work to grind it all down unless I rent a huge walk-behind grinder.To what extent is it ok to place new thinset for tile over old thinset? 1/8" imperfections? 1/4" imperfections?
