I'm a young man in my early twenties who is looking forward to what I hope will be a long life of investing. I'm an indexer through and through, currently holding at about 60% U.S. 40% International, all stock no bonds for now. If we assume that I do not touch these investments for the next 30 years is there really a sizable risk? With sufficient diversity and a 30 year timeline is it possible to practically eliminate risk of loss of capital?
