Hey guys.
I'm trying to find out a way to get stable and high quality protein at more affordable prices by buying frozen or dried fish in bulk.
The problem is that when I'm looking at prices online everything comes out insanely expensive.
Buying frozen fish online is like 20-40% more than buying fresh fish in the grocery store.
Maybe the groceries just end up getting all the volume?
I can suck it up and buy THERE of course and just buy frozen and / or buy it fresh and freeze it at home.
I was also looking at dried fish. The Japanese / Chinese have been doing this for centuries so I wanted to keep an open mind.
Same issue. The prices online are insane! I probably just need to go to a Chinese grocer and look there.
I'm also trying to keep an open mind about insects.
I've been reading about how they're a solid / sustainable source of protein and are eaten in India, Thailand, etc.
However, $40 per pound doesn't make sense. I'd rather be eating salmon at that price.
Thoughts?
